Purpose-Built for Groundbreaking Cancer Care
The Aquilino Cancer Center is home to The Bill Richards Center for Healing, which is creating a new paradigm in cancer treatments. The center was purpose-built to provide the psychological and emotional support needed by cancer patients, their families and caregivers under the same roof as state-of-the-art clinical care.
Community Care Reinvented
At the Bill Richards Center for Healing, oncologists, psychologists, therapists, nurses, researchers and integrative-care experts are among the nation’s pioneers advancing a new model of cancer care: psycho-oncology. The center was the first community health facility to treat the psychological and psychosocial manifestations of cancer at the same time and in the same place as the physical manifestations.
Researching New Therapies
The Bill Richards Center for Healing was the first community healthcare facility to receive FDA approval for clinical trials testing the safety and efficacy of group administration of psilocybin, a hallucinogen showing great promise as a treatment for the anxiety and depression that occurs in cancer patients. The center continues to pioneer cutting-edge treatment modalities through a partnership with Sunstone Therapies.
The Power of Giving
The Aquilino Cancer Center invites you to partner with us to ensure our suite of wellness programs can be offered free of charge to all patients and caregivers, year over year. As a non-profit health care organization, we see every day the power charitable donations provide in our mission and service.
